How do I make money?

Whenever someone clicks on such an ad I get a commission of the revenue.

On this site I also earn money when visitors buy wines, register for a wine club membership and so on.

But, there are countless other ways to make money from your website and SBI shows you all that. You can for example create your own eBook and sell it through your site (currently I am writing my first eBook about a coastal city in Croatia. I will keep you up to date when it will be ready to sell).

How? By simply allowing visitors to post their travel stories, submit questions, share their best holiday photos and/or videos.

Each person's entry creates a brand new page on my site, expanding my content base and attracting more traffic from the search engines. This is the so called Content 2.0 or user generated content. It's one of the most powerful ways and can take your business to a whole new level!

2) wineclubwizard.com (started it in 04/2009)

I am currently building this site and I have about two hours every day. A little more on weekends, but the average is something around 2 hours.

The wine club site will reach 150 pages in the near future and then I will start my third site (which will add additional income streams within a year or so).

Something very funny with those two sites is the fact that it's just a matter of time before I can solely rely on my online income....

What I also want to point out here is something which I also had to learn. Nowadays, anybody can set up a website. But what most people neglect is the fact that your website is just the "place of your business".

Yes, I can also check my traffic stats every day and my earnings :-) Sitting in a Cafe right next to the Adriatic while watching the beautiful sunset and looking at what I've earned for that day is very hard to beat!

While I am on vacations, I can easily manage my online businesses with my Blackberry

You won't need to get the next Himmingway or so. If you can communicate, talk to friends, then you can provide great information and therefore you just need mid grade English.

What does SBI cost? Are there any financial traps?

1) Monthly payment of $29.99

As of November 2009 they also offer the monthly payment option. But I don't see any reason for this because the yearly payment is cheaper.

2) Yearly subscription (save $60)

The yearly subscription fee is $299. That's less than $1 per day (actually 82 Cents per day). The fee is always the same. Year after year. If you are serious about building such an income stream then I suggest to choose the yearly subscription simply because it's cheaper.
